Skillet "American Noise (Single)"
by Kevin Thorson ( on 2013-04-18 08:11:01

"American Noise" is the second single released from Skillet's upcoming new June release "Rise". This single is a really good representation of the more toned-down songs on "Rise". "American Noise" has a great sound and fairly good lyrics but lacks somewhat in memorability. It's one of those songs you'll definitely buy but may not listen to all that often. I do like the tempo though and having heard the entire "Rise" album, I'm glad to hear more "slower" tracks like this one. A good solid song overall, it's just a bit forgetable.

Slightly Obsessed #192: Heaven Is Calling: Consider Jesus

Some days we can barely hear it. Other days it drives us to our knees. But it’s always there; that persistent tug in our souls. Whether we trudge through our days or chase the stars of fame and fortune, we can’t drown out the cry that sounds silently in the pit of our being, jarring us with its urgency and moving us with its tears.
