Matthew West "Live Forever (Deluxe Edition)" by Julia Kitzing (cmaddict.com) on 2015-03-30 10:52:33
Matthew West again uses stories from listeners to inspire this album. There are catchy toe-tapping songs with hard-hitting lyrics. The songs all share the message of hope and how we are not what our past says about us. There are some awesome guitar and keyboard driven cords throughout this album.
A personal favorite on the deluxe edition of this album is the acoustic version of "Day One." I’ve always enjoyed acoustic songs because, personally, there is always so much emotion in the singer’s voice during an acoustic song; Matthew’s voice is no different in this song. The only thing on this song is Matthew and his guitar, it’s a great combination.
Overall, this is another wonderful album by Matthew - full of songs about real life. If you are a fan of Matthew West, you will want to add this one to your collection. It’s a treat, and in my opinion, a must have for all those upcoming summer road trips!

ARTICLE Slightly Obsessed #186: When the Path Ahead Is Fearsome
The room was dark and shadowed, the only sound within its walls the rhythmic whoosh of the ventilator beside my son’s bed. I sat on an uncomfortable chair jammed into one corner of the room. In the faint light that fell from the window across the pages of the Bible I held, I tried to corral my stampeding fears long enough to find some comfort from God’s Word. Outside the door of his room, a cacophony of voices from the nurses’ station jarred our shattered nerves.
