John Waller "Life Is A Gift" by Julia Kitzing (cmaddict.com) on 2014-02-11 15:41:37
John Waller has continually used his gifts as a singer and songwriter to inspire, educate, and encourage the body of Christ.
In an interview Waller said, "God always provides. He always comes through and one of the biggest things I've learned is that God's plan for each one of our lives is not going to look like someone else's. I'm an individual and unique and God has a unique plan for me. I've had to learn to not compare myself to someone else and it's hard not to do that especially in this industry. You want to measure your success by what you see others doing. I've learned that I've had to let that go and know that I am successful, but I'm successful by God's standard and not by man's."
The song “I Know My God” is one of my favorites on this album. It's a great reminder that God is the rock that we can hold onto when we feel like giving up. “So I set my eyes above, and I realign my heart where my help comes from…” Sometimes all of us need to step back and refocus our eyes on God; It’s easy to let the things of the world get in the way and lose our focus. This song is a great reminder.
“Crazy Faith” is a song that reminds me of how so many of us want to do big things for God but are often scared. It talks about “stepping out, taking the leap of crazy faith…” This is a song that I think speaks to making our dreams God sized dreams. “So what if it costs me everything, I’m stepping out, I’m taking the leap of crazy faith…”
“Rain” is a song that talks about how one day God will take His rightful place and reign forever. It reminds you that there will be no more pain, death, or sickness. “The blind will see, the dead will rise, He’ll wipe the tears from all of our eyes…” It’s such a comforting thought to know that everything we go through isn’t going to last forever because there will come a day when He will come back and take His rightful place.
Overall, the more I listened to this album, the more it grew on me. The lyrics are thought provoking, encouraging, and full of promises from the Bible.

ARTICLE Slightly Obsessed #184: The Mark of Maturity
The infant finishes his bottle and smiles contentedly up at his mother. A trickle of milk courses down from the corner of his mouth. It’s a sweet scene because that’s what babies do. They are born with immature digestive systems and no teeth. Mother’s milk or formula are necessary for the child to survive and thrive. As they grow, their teeth begin to come in, their digestive abilities mature, and they can tolerate solid food.
