The band also created a special video for "Just Say Jesus" to raise awareness to release Saeed Abedini, an American pastor, father and husband currently imprsoned in Iran because he shared his Christian faith.
“’Just Say Jesus’ reminds us that the name of Jesus is just as life giving, just as redeeming, and brings just as much healing to the sick and lost today than it ever has,” shares frontman Mikey Howard. “I think that's what makes the song so special. When people hear it I think they are reclaiming the power of Jesus over their lives and things change when people do that. We are grateful to play a small part in all of this. It's been amazing to hear and read the stories that come to us everyday on how this song has impacted lives. We're grateful and humbled for the way Christian radio has embraced this song and helped to take it to a place we could've never imagined.
For 7eventh Time Down, every song is an opportunity for ministry and this single is a perfect example of that. This band has been flooded with emails and messages from those who have been impacted by the song. Here are a few messages the band has received:
"Since December 19th, my family and I are going through the most challenging, scary thing we have ever had to deal with...my faith has been tested. I have never felt so devastated and so alone. One day, I heard this song and I broke down in to tears and felt a whole new sense of hope and more importantly FAITH. Music cleanses the soul and this song was just the healing I needed! There have been several nights I have woken up crying and THIS song is in my head. I have no doubt that God is speaking to me LOUDLY through your music. So... THANK YOU THANK YOU THANK YOU!!"
"I just wanted to tell you guys your song came on K-LOVE moments after I found out that my wife had miscarried for the 2nd time in a year. Thank you for reminding me that God is right there with me and all I need to do is say His name. Love you guys. Thank you!
"I just wanted to say you guys are amazing! I'm 19 years old and recently found out I'm pregnant and yes it's a sin and have really been struggling, but have been going to God and He has forgiven me, but your song makes me cry every time I listen to it. It is so powerful! So I want to thank you guys for your amazing songs. They have helped me out a lot!"
"Just heard 'Just Say Jesus' last night. Still going through a very difficult season of life. Most days that's all I can do...call on Him. Thank you for recording this song. I'm sure I'm not the only one who needs to be reminded that all we have to do is speak His name and He is here for us."
Fans will be able to catch 7eventh Time Down’s dynamic live show as they are currently on their first headlining “Just Say Jesus” tour that is being promoted solely by Christian radio stations. ARTICLE Slightly Obsessed #186: When the Path Ahead Is Fearsome
The room was dark and shadowed, the only sound within its walls the rhythmic whoosh of the ventilator beside my son’s bed. I sat on an uncomfortable chair jammed into one corner of the room. In the faint light that fell from the window across the pages of the Bible I held, I tried to corral my stampeding fears long enough to find some comfort from God’s Word. Outside the door of his room, a cacophony of voices from the nurses’ station jarred our shattered nerves.
