John Mark McMillan To Release 4th Album "Borderland" by Merge PR on 2014-02-25 11:56:45
Acclaimed singer/songwriter John Mark McMillan is gearing up for the independent release of his fourth studio album, Borderland, next Tuesday March 4. This will be the first album released through McMillan’s recently launched record label, Lionhawk Records. Borderland was funded by a Kickstarter campaign in 2013 raising over $69,000 and backed by more than 1,500 contributors.
To promote the album, McMillan has released a brand new lyric video for his song "Heart Runs," with imaging taken from his latest trip to New Zealand (view it here). His music video for "Love At The End" was featured as a staff pick on Vimeo, while live video "Future/Past" debuted with Relevant last month.
McMillan will tour his new album, kicking off the Are We All Animals Tour March 29 in Orlando. For the most updated tour dates, please visit: http://johnmarkmcmillan.com/tour.

“Borderland speaks to the idea of the ‘place between places,’” says McMillan, “which is where I feel I've been living as a person, as an artist, and as a believer for a couple of years. While few things describe the Christian experience more than the ‘place between places,’ it is also a concept everyone can relate to. We all walk lines between work and family, love and responsibility, art and commerce, passion and business and so on. Many of these songs are my commentary from a life between the crevices and on the verge.”
About John Mark McMillan:
In addition to the anticipation around Borderland, this Charlotte, North Carolina native's previous work continues with its own success. In 2012, the song “Seen A Darkness,” from McMillan's last album Economy, was featured in the promo for ABC's "Grey’s Anatomy" episode, “Hope for the Hopeless” (Season 8: Episode 12). His single “How He Loves” was recently listed by Integrity Music as one of the 25 most influential worship songs in the past 25 years and still today ranks on CCLI’s Top 25 chart. John Mark McMillan is proud to be an ambassador for World Vision and an advocate for its work in Bahkari, India.

ARTICLE Slightly Obsessed #187: He Reigns
Has a more beautiful declaration ever been written? Without that truth, we would have been forever lost to life. But because God had all authority firmly in His grasp, Satan had no chance of wresting the universe from Him. Because God reigns, Jesus could heal sickness, forgive sins, and conquer death. Because God is in control, evil was outwitted. Because He is Lord, there is power behind the words, “It is finished.”
