Capital Kings Celebrates Release Week at Top 5 by The M Collective on 2013-01-16 15:23:49
Nashville, TN – (January 16, 2013) – Recently dubbed as the new face of electronic pop,
Capital Kings (Cole Walowac, Jon White) proudly embraced the given moniker this week as their eponymous debut entered the Top 5 on the Billboard Christian Albums Chart. The D.C. duo, who are signed to boutique record label Gotee Records, received a warm welcome for their album release last week with praises from fans and critics alike and Capital Kings peaking in the Top 40 on the overall iTunes® chart and No. 2 on the iTunes® Christian & Gospel albums chart. Leading the outpouring of acclaim from media for Capital Kings, The Houston Chronicle noted that while there has been little success for crossover electronic-pop acts, “the one finally to break away from the herd just might be Capital Kings.”
Capital Kings’ debut single, “You’ll Never Be Alone” is at radio now and was produced by and co-written with Telemitry (Hot Chelle Rae, Jordin Sparks). The single debuted at No. 25 on the Christian Hot AC/CHR radio chart this week. The duo co-produced the majority of Capital Kings along with David Garcia (TobyMac, Britt Nicole) and Joshua Silverberg (Luminate, Deas Vail). The iTunes® version of the record includes an exclusive bonus track remix of "We Belong As One" (feat. TobyMac) by Family Force 5, called the Family Force 5 Phenomenon Remix.
The duo is currently on the 2013 Winter Jam Tour along with headliner TobyMac and other artists including RED, Matthew West, Jamie Grace and Royal Tailor. For Capital Kings tour dates visit: www.CapitalKingsMusic.com.
