Franklin, Tenn. — Life:beautiful magazine presents “An Evening of Worship Featuring Selah” on Monday, October 6 at the historic Franklin Theatre in Franklin, Tennessee. Seating is limited and tickets can be purchased by visiting the Franklin Theatre’s online box office.
Making a rare hometown appearance, multi-Dove Award-winning Curb recording artist Selah will present favorites spanning their nearly two decade career. The group will also perform the history-making #1 hit, “You Amaze Us,” from their best-selling album of the same name.
Hosted by popular author and speaker Lisa Harper, the concert will feature special guests GRAMMY®-nominated family ensemble The Nelons; acclaimed husband/wife duo Seth & Nirva; worship leader Ricardo Sanchez; and new pop singer/songwriters For The Fatherless and Micah Peacock.
Comprised of Todd Smith, Allan Hall and Amy Perry, Selah has garnered seven Gospel Music Association Dove Awards—including five Inspirational Album of the Year trophies—and eight #1 singles, along with numerous other accolades. With hits including such signature songs as “You Raise Me Up,” “Wonderful, Merciful Savior” and “Press On,” among others, to date Selah has amassed total sales surpassing four million album and single units combined.
The Nelons have recorded more than 35 albums, garnered six GMA Dove Awards and three GRAMMY® Award nominations. Seth & Nirva’s debut, I Need You, released to critical acclaim last year, while Ricardo Sanchez is known for such Billboard Gospel chart toppers as “Moving Forward” and “It's Not Over,” in addition to serving as minister of music at Cornerstone Church in San Antonio, Texas. For The Fatherless, the self-titled debut from singer/songwriters Brian and Christa Yak, released in July to widespread acclaim, and accomplished singer/songwriter and worship leader Micah Peacock’s full-length debut, Shadow to Sunlight, produced by multi-GRAMMY® winner Michael Omartian, bowed earlier this month.
The evening’s host, author and Bible teacher Lisa Harper, is currently featured on the “Women of Faith” tour, in addition to speaking at conferences and churches around the world. Her latest book is Overextended and Loving Most of It: The Unexpected Joy of Being Harried, Heartbroken and Hurling Oneself Off Cliffs (W Publishing Group/Thomas Nelson).
