Colorado Springs, Colo. — Oxygen, the ninth studio recording from groundbreaking Integrity Music recording artist Lincoln Brewster, debuted at #1 on the Praise & Worship Albums chart, according to Nielsen SoundScan, following its August 19 release. In addition, the acclaimed album debuted in the #2 position on Billboard’s Contemporary Christian Albums chart.
Worship Leader magazine calls Oxygen “(Brewster’s) strongest effort in recent history … Lincoln Brewster continues to pave the way for the future of worship music… This is Lincoln’s most exciting and accessible album to date.” Garnering media exposure in both Christian and mainstream circles, Brewster was recently featured on Fox News Channel and is on the cover of CCM Magazine’s August 15 digital issue, as well as the September/October issue of Worship Musician.
Produced by Brewster and longtime collaborator Colby Wedgeworth, Oxygen features 11 new selections, 10 of which Brewster co-wrote. Songs include “Live To Praise You,” “Sinking Ships (Rescue Has Come),” “On Our Side” and the project’s debut single, “Made New.”
Brewster will be performing selections from Oxygen at appearances in multiple major markets across the country this fall, including Washington, DC; Minneapolis; Rochester, Minnesota; Corpus Christi, Texas; and Los Angeles. In addition, he will be headlining a Christmas tour, slated to hit select cities this holiday season. For a complete listing of upcoming tour dates, visit lincolnbrewster.com.
One of the first worship artists to be embraced at Christian radio, Lincoln Brewster is firmly established as a leader in the genre. With signature singles including “Today Is The Day,” “Everlasting God” and “The Power Of Your Name,” Brewster’s last non-seasonal recording, 2010’s Real Life, also debuted at #1 on Nielsen SoundScan’s Praise & Worship Albums chart. He serves as Worship Arts Pastor at Bayside Church in Sacramento, California, in addition to performing at various festivals and worship events across the country each year.
Oxygen, an Integrity Music release, is distributed by Provident Distribution.
