KARI JOBE DEBUTS AT NO.1 ON THREE BILLBOARD CHARTS WITH "MAJESTIC" by Merge PR on 2014-04-04 10:00:26
Nashville, Tenn. – April 04, 2014 – Last week GRAMMY-nominated worship leader Kari Jobe released her third label project Majestic (Capitol CMG) to rave reviews and fan response. This full-length, all new live album debuted at No. 1 on three Billboard charts including the Christian Contemporary Album, Praise & Worship and Christian Digital Album charts. Majestic also debuted at No. 4 on the Overall Digital Album chart and earned Jobe her second Billboard Top 200 Top 15 debut at No. 12. Majestic is also available as a full-length live concert DVD. Media have praised Jobe and Majestic saying it’s “not just an album; it’s an experience” (CCM Magazine), “practically royal” (Music Times), and that it is “Jobe’s best release” (Worship Leader). This week Jobe interacted with her fans with a RELEVANT Magazine Q&A. Those that missed it can watch the Q&A here.
Jobe’s new album reveals a collection of simple, congregational-friendly tracks that she hopes will become new anthems for a generation hungry for God to move in a fresh way. For the writing of Majestic, Jobe reached out to like-minded worship leaders who share her passion for writing songs for the Church and who have become personal friends through their common vision. Some of Jobe’s most popular worship anthems, like “Revelation Song” and “Healer,” have been written by others, so to release a collection of songs where she’s personally been an intricate part of creating every track was a dream come true for the worship leader, who’s grateful and eager to collaborate with others.
“When I die, if I was known for one thing, I would want to be known for [helping people] fall more in love with Jesus,” Jobe asserts. “So I don’t care what song I sing, if the heart of it is that people fall more in love with Jesus and they understand the heart of God for them.”
About Kari Jobe:
For more than 15 years, well-respected worship leader Kari Jobe has been using her gifts to lead people into the presence of God. When she began leading worship at age 13, she never imagined she would be nominated for a GRAMMY®, win a Dove Award or be praised by the New York Times. After being established as an artist with her Dove Award-winning, self-titled debut, Kari Jobe released her follow-up album, Where I Find You, which earned Jobe her first GRAMMY nomination. The project released with chart topping street week numbers at No. 1 and No. 10 on Billboard’s National Christian, Gospel and Top 200 Charts. Jobe has toured on the largely popular Winter Jam Tour Spectacular, Chris Tomlin’s “Burning Lights” tour, the Hillsong Conferences (Sydney and London), Passion Conference, Women of Faith events as well as headlined her own tours.
