Jordan For Jesus #006 "Unstoppable" (Thursday Series) by Jordan Elizabeth on 2014-03-27 07:21:19
Jesus so willingly gave everything for us, including His life, on the cross. Because Jesus has so willingly given us everything, even though we are so undeserving, I believe that Jesus is more than worthy and more than deserving of everything. He deserves everything we can give Him and more. He doesn't deserve it only because He gave us everything, even though we were so undeserving, but just because He is God.
Jesus doesn't need what we have, but because He knew that He was sufficient for our every need, He gave Himself to us. God isn't needy, but we are a very needy people, and God is more than all we need. Although anything that we could ever give to Him would never ever be enough, to Jesus it is enough. Jesus is more than everything, and He gave Himself to us because He loves us.
That is true love! God isn't deserving of half of our life! He is more than worthy and more than deserving of one hundred percent of us! He is more than worthy and more than deserving of our life, heart, and who we are completely. He deserves our all!
In the gray dawn of another day, I am spent. I can pray no more. There are no more words I can say, no entreaty with which to reach my Master. As the night shadows fade before the rising sun, I open my Bible. In the space between darkness and light, I need to hear His voice.

Sometimes it’s hard to discern God's voice above the noise in our head and around us. The Bible encourages us to keep listening and keeping trying, because like anything else, we are trained by practice.
Slightly Obsessed #205: A Portrait of Faith: The Courage to Trust
Trust is a gift we give someone who has earned the right to ask for it. It’s the bond between two people who have a history between them. Trust is hard-won and easily lost.
Slightly Obsessed #204: A Portrait of Faith: An Obedient Heart
Is it really so important to know and obey God's Word if we're already saved? Isn't worrying about obedience just a form of legalism? Don't we live in the age of grace?
Slightly Obsessed #203: God Doesn’t Need Our Thanks
If we were to walk through an open door to heaven as the apostle John did in a vision during his imprisonment on Patmos, we would not find a forlorn father awaiting a phone call from his children, but a royal residence filled with glory.
