Good Boys Launch FaithLauncher Campaign for I Am Bold Project by Team Addict on 2013-05-07 09:54:31
Members of music group Good Boys have reunited to produce new music and reach the people of Haiti with the gospel. See the quote and video below from their Faithlauncher page and consider helping them out.
"It’s been five years since we've been in ministry together as the "Good Boys", and we've seen the growth in maturity and spiritually from when we've started. It’s amazing how God just takes the lives of people and quickly transform them to something unimaginable. A group of eight men from the rough streets of Lake Worth, Florida whose goals in life were simply self-pleasure and self-glorification, from being involved in drug dealing to gang fights as that’s all we knew. I called it to “To Make A Name For Yourself” syndrome.
One thing that was unique within us that bonded us was that all of us are first generation Haitian-American kids who all made music, so living and understanding the life of two cultures (American and Haitian) was going to one of our biggest benefits in the future, at that moment we didn't know it, but God was working on something that will forever change our lives.
Five of the eight guys (Lucky J, T.K., J Tru, Charles G, Epiphany) attended the same church. Even though we didn't have a relationship with Jesus, we still attended unfortunately for the wrong reasons. To us at the time it was just another “hang-out spot.” Then on November 2007, God met us at a Youth Service which we had no interest in attending, but we figured Church was the best spot to meet up with each other and then go to the club afterward.
But then God met us, and turned thing upside down! God had other and greater plans in-stored for us that night. We left the church that night brand new, the Holy Spirit broke us, and he took our lives. It was no longer about the streets, not the drugs, not the girls, and not even ourselves, but about God; he had taken our lives.
Since then, the Lord have given us many opportunities to change lives, from our homes, to our community, prisons, even other nations like Haiti, by sharing the gospel of Jesus Christ boldly through our music and most importantly thru our new lifestyle.
Two years after the five of us got saved, three new members were added on to the group Mr. Jet, Neff, and Image. Our mission is to preach a resounding truth of Jesus Christ to ever one we meet hoping that one day as well, that their lives will change when God will meets them.
Now we are here in 2013 launching a new campaign called "I Am Bold" to bring the awareness to the lack of local and global evangelism and discipleship. Our goal is to create effective workshops for training on how to share the gospel not only from a vocal approach but also from community outreach projects. To reach our desired goals, we are using music as a medium to make this dream become a reality.
We are currently working on our EP titled "Fully Dedicated". We will like to reach our goal of $6000, which will be used to help promote the campaign and find leaders to assist us with the workshops.
It is time for to be BOLD for our faith in Jesus, His Word, His love.. The Gospel.

Slightly Obsessed #233: When God Tears It Up
A musty odor had been coming from the vicinity of my husband’s man-cave for months. I chalked it up to his old collection of books and memorabilia, but the real cause will force us to tear things up to get to the root of the problem and fix it.
